In India, the celebration of food never ends. Every season, women come together to prepare mouthwatering treats for their families while exchanging personal tales. Every woman gathered shares a recipe that her mother used to make in her own unique way.

By sharing stories, generations have passed down the knowledge of original dishes that date back more than 500 years.

Sahrudaya, a socio-economic organisation that works with Indian rural mothers to bring you these recipes, which have been passed down for more than 500 years.

Good Food for you and employment to rural mothers.

We, as an organisation, do not invent any new recipes because we think that the thousands of recipes of rural India are still hidden. We explore the villages, consume a variety of cuisines, and discover dishes that adhere to our values!

We firmly believe that food science is most exquisite and complex when each ingredient works in harmony with the others. Any recipe change, no matter how small, has the potential to change both the taste and the nutritional value.

We research the recipes, comprehend the principles of production, and then bring you real goodies! We guarantee the taste, texture, and quality, but never the colour, because that is something that nature determines and over which we have no influence.

OUR STRICT NO FOR:

  • Disrespecting the principles and culture of food making

  • Increasing the shelf-life by using preservatives or chemicals

  • Using additives and high amounts of sugar to make consumers addicted to our products

  • Using artificial flavourings to enhance the taste

  • Use of refined flours and sugars

Our products are carefully researched, and many of the ingredients are sourced directly from our own women's farms, preventing the need for polishing and refining. We prepare the items using traditional methods, but more significantly, we cook in a happy environment where our mothers can laugh and enjoy themselves.
