Traditional Snack
Chiwda has travelled across India for centuries, quite literally. It began as a clever creation by farmers and travellers who roasted poha (flattened rice) with spices to make it light, long-lasting, and easy to carry on journeys. Over time, this simple, nourishing mix became a household favorite, a symbol of thrift, taste, and travel.
In South Indian villages, chiwda meets curd, served as part of a wholesome breakfast that cools the body and fuels the day.
At Sahrudaya, we bring this heritage alive with our Dharmapuri Chiwda, made from roasted poha, coconut, curry leaves, and spices. Light, aromatic, and protein-balanced, it’s the traveller’s best friend and your anytime comfort snack.
